Vamos are fun...
Vamos are a super high energy Ruff and Roll / Street Pop Punk band based in Galway Ireland but originating in Liverpool UK.
Formed within a skunk-filled room in Liverpool circa 1998 Vamos play fast energetic guitar songs. Double fronted by the energy-crazed brothers Tom and Vinny Vamos and held together with the drum-welting glue of Barry Banjaxed.
Vamos has stood the unmerciful test of relentless gigging, flat-broke touring, drug habbits, recoveries, retoxes, broken lineups, broken guitars and broken hearts.
They don't write songs about ex-girlfriends or politics. They write songs about fun stuff like Pirate Radio, Viagra, Sandwiches, Animals, fixing cars, Sex, Drugs, and Rockin' on the Dole.
2012 will see Vamos return with extensive German, Uk and Irish shows to promote their 2nd album which will be released in spring on Dead Monkey Records.
Vamos do not expect anything more than happiness and satisfaction from making music and this really shows in their live performance.
Simple honest energy...
On their tour in May 2012 Vamos will bring their friends Sheepy, their new 7" and Tony from The Dead Class on drums. Sheepy include Villy from The Dead Class on bass.

The Trio are originally from Liverpool but are now tax exiles in Ireland based on the zillions earned through their record label Dead Monkey Records. From the off, Circle 'O' rampages gloriosly at breakneck speed and stops after about ninety seconds. 'This Way Up' is a bit slower by comparison but brilliantly sung by whichever of their two vocalists drew the long straw. On 'Numbers' they become the Gerrry and The Pacemakers for the third Millennium. Vamos make a great guitar-based noise, write chirpy, cheeky, catchy songs, seem to be having mountains of fun and they don't hang around."
